Tea Among the Cherry Blossom at Dalloway Terrace

If you're on Instagram, you may well have stumbled across the magic that is Dalloway Terrace: it's a mecca for afternoon tea lovers and bloggers alike and it's easy to see why...

With a covered terrace that looks like it belongs on the pages of a Jo Malone catalogue or a delicious stripy humbug you already feel like you're going to be spending the afternoon somewhere special. When you turn the corner and spy the Instagram-worthy cherry blossom covered terrace, you can't help but be transported from the bustle of Fitzrovia to somewhere much more tranquil.

For the book lovers among us, Dalloway Terrace is named after one of Virginia Woolf's characters, the eponymous Mrs Dalloway. Woolf was one of the Bloomsbury Group of authors, so it's only fitting that the Bloomsbury Hotel pays tribute to her.

I went with my best buddy, Emily from Blog Me Beautiful, a few months back on what was an absolutely scorching Spring day so the cool air and shade were a perfect start to what proved to be a delicious afternoon tea. It's a traditional affair so the purists won't be disappointed and we took our time making our way up the cake stand from the moreish savouries to the deliciously refreshing and light sweets (the mango and passion fruit dome was my favourite, especially on such a hot day) trying, as you'd expect, some lovely teas along the way.

We'll definitely be back again soon and must remember to book ahead for Christmas so we don't miss out; I know, it's such a long way off, but you head over to their Instagram page, scroll back and tell me you wouldn't be disappointed!
