Mother's Day Gift Guide

If you have yet to purchase your mum's present for Sunday, then you'll be reassured to know that there is still time...just!
It's a day for spoiling your mother and, in the past, I've put together picnic hampers of my mama's favourite goodies to keep her away from the kitchen (one of the downsides of having your offspring turn up en masse) and beach bags of travel essentials (my parents had a holiday booked a few weeks later).
This year, avoid turning up armed only with a last minute limp bouquet and show you've put some thought into your gift with these tried and tested luxuries. Inspired by bath time, select any number of these treats (I often team up with my siblings so we can really splash out) and you're sure to put a relaxed smile on your mum's face.

Space NK's Beautannia range is lovely and, as you would expect, their candle has a beautiful scent and burns cleanly. L'occitane's traditional soap is a classic, moisturises beautifully and looks fab on the side of your basin or bath to boot! Jo Malone's bath oils are lush and this is one of my favourites to languor in as the aroma soothes while the oils moisturise. Manuka Doctor's rapid lift mask does exactly what it promises and leaves your skin feeling fresh and taut. A cup of Whittard's mild Jasmine tea is a must (its delicate flavour will convert anyone) and, while sipping it, a good book like one from Penguin's Clothbound Classics will transport you to a bygone era (take care with it near all that water though!). And, when you get out, wrap yourself in a luxurious bath sheet from The White Company to dry before slathering your skin with one of their moisturisers.

Now, what are you waiting for? But remember, once you've given your gifts, make sure you create an opportunity for your mum to use them in peace!
